PTA

The PTA at Dunchurch Boughton CofE Junior Academy is a friendly and dedicated group of parents, carers and staff who work together to support our school community. Our aim is simple - to enrich the children’s school experience, strengthen the partnership between home and school, and create memorable moments for our families.

What do the PTA do?

The PTA organises a wide range of events throughout the year that bring our community together while raising valuable funds for the school. These include:

  • School discos throughout the year
  • ‘Dare To Be Different’ days
  • After-school hot chocolate sales
  • The Great Dunchurch Bake Off
  • Christmas wreath making workshops
  • Sponsored Jingle Bell Jog
  • Christmas Fair
  • Christmas raffle
  • Fun Easter Egg Drop
  • Easter Egg raffle
  • Dunchurch Village Fete stall
  • Wonka Bar event
  • Mother’s Day and Father’s Day pop-up shops
  • Book sales
  • Pre-loved uniform sales

These events are not only fantastic fundraising opportunities, but also wonderful occasions for our children and families to come together, have fun and create lasting memories.

How do PTA funds support the school?

Every penny raised goes back into the school to directly benefit our pupils. Each year, PTA funds contribute towards:

  • Christmas selection boxes and Easter eggs for every child
  • A contribution towards Year 6 leavers’ hoodies
  • The Year 6 leavers’ BBQ and disco
  • Ice lollies after Sports Day
PTA funds also paid for the climbing equipment to be repaired, playtime toys, new library books and author visits for all children to share the love of reading.

By supporting the PTA, you are helping to provide those “extra” experiences that make school life even more special.

Working Together

The PTA works closely with the Headteacher, teachers and school staff to ensure that fundraising aligns with the school’s priorities and benefits all children. We value the strong relationship we have with staff and appreciate their continued support at our events.

Most importantly, we work for the children and families of our school. The PTA is about community, inclusion and teamwork. The more people who get involved, whether by volunteering time, donating items, attending events or simply spreading the word, the stronger and more successful our PTA becomes.

You don’t need lots of free time to make a difference. Every small contribution helps, and everyone is welcome.
