All pupils take Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling tests at key points in the year. In addition, during the school year, teachers make assessments of children’s achievement in the normal course of teaching and learning, to cover the full range of the National Curriculum, including writing.
In Year 6, at the end of Key Stage 2, pupils take part in the End of Key Stage Statutory Assessments in Mathematics, Reading and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, to enable teachers and parents to assess whether pupils are reaching the considered national standards.
