The school community has an important influence on all aspects of a child’s development, sharing the responsibility with parents.

While SMSC development is assisted by a child’s experience of all areas of the curriculum, it is the ethos of the school and the quality of the relationships that will be the most powerful influence.  Children are encouraged to develop their own values and are expected to take responsibility for their own behaviour.  We provide many opportunities for the children to share and collaborate with one another and, through their investigative and creative activities; they develop a respect for the opinions, traditions and cultures of others.

The close relationship, which develops between the staff and pupils, plays a vital role in creating the spirit and atmosphere of our school.
