Welcome

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I extend a very warm welcome to our website and thank you for taking an interest in Dunchurch Boughton CofE Junior Academy.

We are part of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust; a family of schools that work collaboratively to ensure we provide our pupils with the best possible educational journey.

As a Church of England school, our aim is far wider than ensuring each child makes exceptional academic progress. We work to ensure all pupils develop spiritually, primarily through our powerful school vision ("Ask, Seek, Knock" Matthew 7:7), which permeates every aspect of school life and through our Christian values of forgiveness, honesty, kindness, patience, peace, generosity and thankfulness.

Daily Collective Worship, combined with a high quality RE education, ensures children learn the teachings of Jesus Christ, giving them the perfect example of how we can live a fulfilling life, contributing positively to society and ensuring the vulnerable (and marginalised) are protected. We want all our pupils to become champions of social justice and independent changemakers, which in turn will create a far more loving and compassionate world. Prayer and reflection are key elements of life at DBJA and both are purely invitational.

We are a fully inclusive school, welcoming children of any faith or no faith. We want each child to thrive in their time at our school, find their God given talents and be able to look back on these years as some of the happiest they can recall.

We welcome visitors warmly; please don’t hesitate to ask for a tour of our school if you feel we could provide the right environment for your child(ren) to flourish.

Warmest regards,

Ms Donnellan

Headteacher
