Collective Worship
School Assemblies and Collective Worship take place every day. Monday is a class assembly, when children have the opportunity to share thoughts and reflect. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are whole school sessions and Friday is our Celebration Assembly.
Reverend Pat and Steve from St. Peter's church regularly lead worship and visit the school. Dave from Dunchurch Baptist church also leads worship and Rugby Youth for Christ also lead worship. Chris, one of our Governors also leads sessions. Our Spirit Ambassadors work with Mrs. Broderick to lead worship too.
We follow the "Roots and Fruits" worship planning. This years themes are: Generosity, Compassion, Courage, Forgiveness, Friendship and Respect. We also plan our worship around our school values of: Peace, Forgiveness, Generosity, Thankfulness, Patience, Kindness and Honesty. We plan assemblies that teach the children about all faiths and religions and British Values.
Our children visit St Peter’s Church in Dunchurch to take part in Christmas and Easter services.
We have a close relationship with St. Peter's church. We are lucky that Reverend Pat and Steve are able to join the children at lunch times some weeks and also spend some time with staff.
Our Change group meets regularly to discuss, plan and to think about how we can improve.
Parents have a legal right to withdraw their children from the daily act of collective worship and appropriate provision will be made.
