Vision
Dunchurch Boughton Church of England Junior Academy
As a Church of England Academy we strive, to inspire and empower every child and adult to grow academically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally in the knowledge they are loved by God and are safe and valued within our school community.
Christian values are woven throughout our curriculum and wider school ethos to fully prepare each of our pupils to be the best they can possibly be.
Our Christian vision
What is the meaning of Encourage one another and build one another up Thessalonians 5:11?
It is a message Paul gives the Thessalonians.
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
We need each other. We need to think about encouraging each other. This is one of our important goals as we come together as the family in Christ.
Our theologically rooted Christian vision drives all of our work and enables the school to live up to its foundation as a Church school.
Our school motto underpins our Christian vision and both run through all aspects of Academy life:
Together we are stronger
Our school motto ’Together we are stronger’ links with our theologically rooted Christian vision, Encourage one another and build one another up … (Thel 5:11)
This embodies our commitment to ensure everybody feels valued and has the values and tools to enable them to thrive and flourish, embracing both success and challenge, prepared for “life in all its fullness,” (John 10:10) which is the vision of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy trust.
How will we do this?
As part of our Christian service, we will nurture the well-being of all members of the Dunchurch community, so that every member has a deep sense of self-worth and a respectful and compassionate regard for each other.
We will provide a strong foundation for every child’s future, equipping them with knowledge, life skills and a love of learning.
We will support children through an inspirational, balanced and enriched curriculum so that our children become supportive, caring and responsible global citizens for the 21st Century.
We believe that all children and members of the Dunchurch family, are loved by God and one another and therefore should feel safe and valued within our school community.
We will enable our school community to grow and flourish in a secure and stable environment, where there is inclusive provision and values, so that our children are able to live well together, reflect upon their actions and make wise choices.
The Academy will in accordance with the principles of the Church of England, encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils and staff.
