Curriculum
Content awaiting 2024/25 update.
In line with our vision we have created a curriculum which enables all of our learners to thrive and flourish, providing a strong foundation for every child’s future and equipping them with knowledge, life skills and a love of learning.
Through carefully structured, sequenced and enriching learning opportunities, the Dunchurch Curriculum supports our children in becoming supportive, caring and responsible global citizens for the 21st Century.
Although a particular emphasis is placed upon the core subjects of English, Mathematics, RE and Science, we strive to ensure that our curriculum is broad and balanced so that all subjects are valued and taught explicitly.
At our school there are opportunities for all pupils to be taught by specialist, both internally through teachers employed to deliver Music, French and PE provision and externally through additional opportunities.

We also provide the children with opportunities to learn about sustainability and enterprise by planning and running events like the Christmas Fair and charity days. Through teaching 'Learning Behaviours' the children develop their own understanding of learning and practice skills which help in all lessons.
We are very lucky to have amazing school grounds, with a large field and The Haven so we aim to provide lots of opportunities for outdoor learning.
